The cats-eye block for a road comprises a one-piece plastics body (2) which contains at least one groove (4), one end of which is closed and the other end of which receives an inserted reflective strip (3). The upper surface of the body slopes downwards towards the outer edges of the body, so that the reflective strip can be situated in a recess (5) below the level of the upper surface.
