PURPOSE:To enable to facilitate setting of a sheet pile and to enable obtaining of a reliable water stop effect, by a method wherein coupling materials, through which sheet piles engage each other, and supporting materials, engaging forms, are mounted to opposite sides of a sheet pile for constructing a water stop dam on the bottom of the water. CONSTITUTION:Coupling materials 4, through which adjoining sheet piles 1 engage each other, and form supporting materials 2 for engaging a form 5 are welded to opposite sides at the outer surface of and in the direction of the diameter of the sheet pile 1. When the sheet pile 1 is installed, the coupling materials 4 of the sheet piles 1 mate each other to drive them in a water bottom ground by a pile driving ship to construct a sheet pile wall. Forms 5, provided with coupling materials 6 at both sides in a direction of width, engage the form supporting materials 2 of the sheet pile 1. A curing water stop material 14 such as cement mortar is implanted for filling a gap between the coupling materials 4 mating each other, and a water stop material 7 consisting of conrete is implanted in a space surrounded with the sheet piles 1 for filling the space with the material. |
