PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of drawing out tubes of a boiler or a heat exchanger, to reduce the time required for the operation and to enable to carry out the operation without producing noises, by drawing out the tubes by use of a special pipe drawing tool utilizing the principles of the lever and fulcrum. CONSTITUTION:A tube drawing tool of this invention consists of a lever rod 1 having a recess 2 having a width greater than the thickness of tubes of a boiler or a heat exchanger formed at a position a predetermined length retracted from the top of the rod 1 and a pawl 3 formed at the top of the lever rod 1. In drawing out a tube, a tube 7 is at first cut at a position located 5-20mm. away from the inner surface 8 of a tube plate 5, and then the inside 9 of the tube 7 fitted in a tube hole 6 is heated slightly by a gas burner so that deformation of the tube 7 by the lever rod 1 and disengagement of the tube 7 from the hole 6 can be facilitated. Thereafter, the tube 7 is drawn out from the hole 6 by fitting the recess 2 with the end portion of the tube 7, deforming the end portion of the tube 7 inwards by turning the lever rod 1 downward in a direction shown by an arrow in the drawing, and separating the tube 7 from the hole 6 successively along the entire circumference of the tube 7. |
