PURPOSE:To prevent the disturbance of the linearity at the tip of a main magnetic pole, by providing notched parts, where an adhesive is packed at the junction time, on the face to be fayed of one of reinforcing members of the main magnetic pole at least. CONSTITUTION:Notched groove parts 9, where an adhesive 7 is packed when reinforcing members 6 and 6' are joined, are formed on a face 6a to be fayed of the reinforcing member 6 where a magnetic thin film 5 is formed. Since the adhesive 7 is partially thick except the part of formation of the magnetic thin film 5 to reinforce the junction, the linearity at the tip of the magnetic thin film is not disturbed in the external shape forming work, and the linearity at the tip part of the main magnetic pole is improved, and thus, a vertical magnetic head suitable for high-density recording is obtained. |
