In the manufacture of large-surface slabs of reinforced concrete, it has been difficult hitherto to hold the steel reinforcement in the required position with the concrete covering during compaction. These difficulties are eliminated according to the invention by using a multi-part crane casing (10) to press the light steel girders (6) on the one hand and the longitudinal and transverse reinforcing rods (4, 9) of the reinforcement (50) on the other hand individually into the concrete (65) in such a way that they adopt the required covering position. To this end, the crane casing (10) has scanning elements (37, 42, 43) and position elements (23) which act independently of one another and which are guided in a precisely vertical manner in relation to a supporting frame (11). The crane casing (10) is, in addition, designed in such a way that it can be coupled with a reinforcement template for assembly of the reinforcement (50) and with the form floor (52) to make a load-bearing and transporting unit. <IMAGE>
