The subject of the invention is a pneumatic pressure regulator comprising a body 10, 30 which may be connected, on the one hand, to an upstream pressure source 11 and, on the other hand, to a downstream use 12, comprising a valve 53A which can stop off or open a passage between upstream and downstream, the valve being applied to its seat by a spring 56 and being able to be moved by the action of a rod 35 securely fastened to a membrane 31 arranged in a chamber inside the said body and separating the said chamber into a first compartment 31A and a second compartment 31B, the first compartment 31A being in communication with the downstream pressure, characterised in that it comprises means 43, 63, 65 for establishing a pressure of adjustable value in the second compartment 31B.
