The present invention relates to an integrated-type ice maker for a refrigerator and a method for manufacturing the same. The integrated-type ice maker for a refrigerator includes: a case which protects a cooling space which receives cold air; an ice making assembly which generates ice by using the cold air supplied to the inside of the cooling space; an ice bucket which accommodates the ice generated by the ice making assembly; a filter housing which is integrally fixated to the case; a water purifying filter which is detachably joined in the filter housing; and a flow channel which supplies water, supplied by a water supply source, to the water purifying filter and discharges the water, treated by the water purifying filter, to provide the treated water to the cooling space. Therefore, the length of the water supply flow channel from the water purifying filter to the cooling space for ice making is minimized. In addition, most refrigerators are manufactured to have the ice maker and a dispenser which are located close to each other. Therefore, the length of the water supply flow channel from the water purifying filter to the dispenser is minimized. Accordingly, proper flow channel pressure can be provided without using an additional pressure increasing valve even in an environment with low water pressure, and costs can be reduced by using short pipelines. |
