The invention relates to a method and a device allowing managers to directly produce, for management and decision-making controls, the relevant study and summary elements in the form of documents associating texts, tables and colour graphs, all the screen inputs being done on dynamically-generated grids. The interactive method comprises a software package for constructing documents piece by piece and a program generator for producing the iterative states, of a chronological series type, issued as desired in the form of analytical/consolidated chapters or even in a single volume. Text processing does not require source text. The spreadsheet accepts tables without dimensional limits and carries out simple or complex matrix calculations, in particular of a statistical type, according to choice. <IMAGE>
