This flexible gantry device for the support of public lighting lamps, of electrical contact lines or the like, comprises an upper transverse cable 12 and a lower transverse cable 13 anchored at each of their ends to posts. The lower transverse cable 13 is connected to the funicular 12 by means of swing links (pendulums) 16. Electrical contact lines or the like are suspended from the lower transverse cable 13. The transverse cables 12, 13 as well as each swing link 16 are formed by a synthetic cable and the anchoring of each cable 12, 13, the linkage of each swing link 16 to the cables 12, 13 as well as the suspension of each electrical contact line to the cable 13 are performed with the aid of means 18, 19, 25, 26, 32, 36 made of synthetic material or from light or non-corrodible alloy. The linkage of each swing link 16 to the cable 13 is furthermore carried out in the same region of this cable 13 as the suspension to the latter of an electrical contact line or the like. <IMAGE>
