The backrest and/or the seat cushion of this seat comprises a reinforcing member formed by a tube bent into a U-shape whose lateral elements 2, 3 carry the wires of wings 6, 7 which are mounted in a pivoting manner at their two ends. The wire 6 of one of the sides of the seat forms a loop 18 which is made integral with a whorl 20 screwed to a rotary control screw 22 fixed axially. A rod 30 connects the whorl 20 to the other wire 7 so that any translation of the whorl brings about a pivoting of the two wings towards the inside or towards the outside. <IMAGE>
