<p>The device consists in a substantially quadrangular small plate (10) with a central hinge which defines two half-small plates which can be folded against each other with their inner faces in a contiguous position, the inner face of each half-small plate displaying a textured, squared profile formed by a plurality of grooves (18) placed close to one another at right angles, a ridge (20) being defined between each pair of adjacent grooves (18); and removable barring means, for holding the small plate in a closed position, the two half-small plates then being stressed against each other; one of the half-small plates intended to receive dyeing gels at spot locations on its inner face and the other of the said half-small plates intended to receive a lock of hair of specific thickness in its grooves (18).
