PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali-soluble resin which has characteristics such as adhesiveness with a glass substrate, flexibility to follow a compressive force and elastic recovery force when the compressive force is relaxed, and at the same time, obtains particularly excellent developability and can further cope with high definition.SOLUTION: An alkali-soluble resin is a base polymer synthesized from a monomer component containing (a) a monomer capable of introducing an acid group into a side chain and (b) a monomer capable of introducing a ring structure into a main chain or a polymer obtained by introducing a carbon-carbon double bond into the base polymer; and has a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 4.5 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
