In a combustion installation, the fuels are first comminuted and subsequently dried before they reach the combustion chamber. The drying heat is extracted from the combustion installation itself and the heat arising on the separation of moisture and fuels is supplied to the energy circuit of the combustion installation again, the combustion air being heated in a heat exchanger. A further energy recovery takes place by the dried comminuted fuels having a raised thermal value. The novel combustion installation thus makes possible for the first time the economical use of regenerable raw materials as moist fuels. |
