PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery system of a recording head which can sufficiently clean an ink discharge surface.SOLUTION: This recovery system of recording heads 17a to 17c comprises wipers 35a to 35c, a drive mechanism, and a control part 110. The control part 110 can execute recovery operations of the recording heads 17a to 17c including: an ink extrusion operation for forcibly extruding an ink; a spreading operation for spreading a purge ink 22 by moving the wipers 35a to 35c along an ink discharge surface F at first speed or lower; and a wiping operation for wiping the ink adhering onto the ink discharge surface F by moving the wipers 35a to 35c along the ink discharge surface F at second speed higher than the first speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
