The chair incorporates a column (12), a seat surface (11) arrester (13) and a foot comprising ribs (14) and a ring (15) with rollers (16) which are horizontally rotatable in a vertical swivellable bearing. The chair, independently of the seat surface (11), has a second height-adjustable arm and back support (1) which is arranged above the first such structure (2). Height adjustment of both arm and back supports (1,2) is performed by two integrated profile tubes (3,4;7,8) with quadratic, rectangular or round cross-section. The fixture of the inner profile tubes (3,7) is by means of screws (4,8) which connect the interengaged tubes (3,4;7,8) so that they cannot be displaced or revolve.
