The upper ridge sliding roof is for a vehicle. It incorporates a transverse seal (19) at the front of the roof with two sealing surfaces which in the closed position are engaged by the roof cover (2). The roof is supported by a holder (8) which slides into a link element (11) as a screw (7) is displaced upwards in a vertical slot (8a) and a second screw (16) reaches the locking point (15).
