PURPOSE:To display three dimensionally the curved condition of a flexible member without using X-rays irradiation. CONSTITUTION:A curve display apparatus is constituted in such a way that the first optical fiber 2 and the second optical fiber 3 are arranged along a flexible member 4 and when a light from a light source 6 is introduced from each inlet 12 of the first and the second optical fibers 2 and 3, the introduced light is converted into an electric signal at each outlet 13 of the first and the second optical fibers 2 and 3 by means of a light detector 5. The first optical fiber 2 is constituted of a plurality of pairs of optical fibers and each pair of optical fibers is constituted of two optical fiber element and a joint is formed on the optical fiber element. It is constituted in such a way that the curved condition of the flexible member 4 can be displayed on a monitor 15 by calculating an inclined angle to the axial line of the optical fiber element at each, joint using an electric signal by means of an operating part 14.
