PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF STARCH

The method for preparing high absorbent starch comprises: adding a small quantity of alkali solution to starch solution in order to increase reaction efficiency in normal temperature without heating-gelatinization; adding a certain quantity of 37 % formalin or epichlorohydrin at 37-40 deg.C; polymerizing of acrylonitrile with starch solution; saponifying. NaOH or KOH quantity of alkali solution is 1/200-1/350 (W/W) of starch quantity, 37 % formalin quantity is 1/50-1/10 (V/W) of starch quantity, epiclorohydrin is 1/100-7/100 (V/W) of starch quantity.
