Drive unit for converting rotary into linear motion on injection moulding machine

A power transmission system for converting rotary to linear motion on an electrically driven injection moulding machine comprises a drive motor (1), a fixed unit and a moving unit, the letter units being a threaded spindle (8) and sleeve which act in conjunction with planetary moving threaded rollers. Conversion of rotary into linear movement is effected by rotating either the sleeve or the spindle (8) while the other moves axially.
