PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burdens on the fingers of an operator.SOLUTION: The operation system for a vehicle comprises: longitudinal members 12 protruded and extended from a steering column 101; motion detecting portions 21 that are provided at tips in a protruding direction of the longitudinal members 12 and can detect operation modes at the time when an operator operates an on-vehicle device 200 at the tips or at sensing spaces SP with the tips as base points; and a control device 30 that sends a command to the on-vehicle device 200 on the basis of output signals from the motion detecting portions 21 according to the operation modes by the operator. The motion detecting portions 21 set an operation direction along natural movements of the fingers of the operator who is gripping the steering wheel 102, where function of the on-vehicle device 200 is allocated to the operating direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
