The thread forming machine for forming good quality of thread section on the nut and quickly returning the guide mechanism, has the guide mechanism(3) having the groove(2) for inserting the nut material(1) and the returning device(13) reciprocating in the horizontal direction; extruding bar(6) for pushing the guide mechanism; bent tap(7) being rotated at the front side of the guide mechanism. The returning device of the guide mechanism comprises a hydraulic cylinder(15) between the guide mechanism and the base plate(4).
