PURPOSE: To increase the amount of electrical resistance due to an application magnetic field which is magnetized in a direction along a surface and is formed on a second ferromagnetic layer with an interval in the direction along the surface. CONSTITUTION: A first ferromagnetic layer 3A of Nice, a non-magnetic layer 4A of Cu, and a second ferromagnetic layer 5A of NiFe are formed successively. An antiferromagnetic layer 6A consisting of FeMn is formed on them with an interval of 20μm or less. Then, a non-magnetic layer 7A of Cu is formed on the antiferromagnetic layer 6A and the second ferromagnetic layer 5A, thus constituting a magnetic body layer J1 and magnetic body layers J2 and J3 with the same configuration via intermediate layers 2A and 2B. As a result, conduction electrons through the interval of antiferromagnetic layers 6A-6C reach adjacent magnetic body layers, thus preventing the conduction electrons from being scattered easily and causing the conduction electrons through the interval to be subjected to spin bulb effect in a plurality of sets.
