PURPOSE: To provide an overhead projector capable of obtaining a clearer projection image by adopting a projection lamp whose luminance is high. CONSTITUTION: Outdoor air is sucked in the interior of a housing 11 from a ventilation port 11c by driving a blower 24, the sucked outside air is sent to a ventilation port 11e by an auxiliary guide board 28 for ventilation, and is further sent toward a round part 11d on the external edge of a projection stage 17 by a guide board 27 for ventilation, so that air flow (f) occurs along the round part 11d by the operation of the round part 11d. Thus, since the air flows along the surface of the stage 17, a projection original 16 placed on the stage 17 is prevented from floating because of the ventilation, and can be cooled by being directly exposed to the air.
