PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photosensitive material with excellent color reproductivity and conservation. SOLUTION: A silver halide photosensitive material which has at least one blue sensitive layer, one green sensitive layer and one red sensitive layer on a support contains at least one type of compound shown in the formula. In the formula, (A) represents an acidic core remaining group and R<1> , R<2> and R<3> represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cyano group or halogen atom, respectively. (B) represents a nonmetal atom group required to form five or six nitrogen containing heterocycles and can be shrinked with other five or six saturated or unsaturated cycles. However, nitrogen containing heterocycles represented by B (including cycles shrinked therewith) are substituted by at least one substitutional group excluding an alkyl group, with the Hammett's constant (σp) of the substitutional group being 0.3-0.8. A (n) represents 0 or 1.
