PROCESS OF MANUFACTURE OF CONTACTS OF VACUUM ARC CHUTES

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed process of manufacture of contacts of vacuum arc chutes involves following stages: mixing of conductive metal powder with thermal stable material having higher melting temperature than that of conductive metal powder; pressing of obtained mixture to produce billet; preliminary sintering of billet in atmosphere of high-purity hydrogen; final sintering, compaction and degassing of billet by diffusion welding in vacuum. Positive effect is based on combination into one process of operations of final sintering, compaction and degassing of billet of contact material by operation of diffusion welding. EFFECT: enhanced technological effectiveness of manufacture of high-density contacts with uniform distribution of components.
