A pharmaceutical composition useful for treating a mammalian specie suffering from congestive heart failure, comprising the combination of an effective amount of a selective inhibitor of neutral endopeptidase of the formula OO HS - CH2 - CH - C NH - (CH2)n - C - OH CH2 wherein n is an integer from 1 to 9, and an effective amount of an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor selected from the group consisting of captopril, fosinopril sodium, enalapril maleate and lisinopril. |
