ON-VEHICLE PORTABLE TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a traffic accident that might be caused by careless watching of the path ahead due to the operation of a portable telephone set or the talking while a driver is driving a vehicle by detecting the traveling and stop modes of the vehicle to inhibit the talking functions except for an automatic recording function in the traveling mode and to allow all talking functions in the stop mode respectively. SOLUTION: A speedometer speed detection signal line 36 led from a speedometer 33 is connected to a telephone setting stand 31 together with an engine start/stop detection signal line 37 led from an engine start/stop key 34 and a side brake set completion cancel signal line 38 led from a side brake 35 respectively. An on-vehicle portable telephone set 32 put on the stand 31 are connected to the lines 36, 37 and 38 and detects a running or stop mode of a vehicle to inhibit all talking functions except for an automatic recording function in the running mode. Thus, it is possible to prevent a traffic accident that night be caused by the careless watching of the path ahead due to the use of the telephone set 32 while the driver is driving his vehicle.
