Electric machine brush arrangement

The brush arrangement has an electrically conductive brush sleeve (10) which holds the carbon brush (9). The sleeve (10) is fastened to the machine housing and is electrically insulated. A carrier part (8) of material which is electrically non-conductive is connected to the brush sleeve (10). The carrier part (8) can be inserted into a guide (7) provided on the inside of a wall (1) of the machine. The carrier part (8) is held in its operating position by at least one stop member (19,20) and a locking member (22,24). Preferably the inside of the machine wall has at least two opposing U-shaped guide members into which the carrier part (8) can be inserted. In the operating position, a locking member (22) can be locked with an opposing locking member (24) on the machine wall to fix the carrier part against further insertion.
