PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable executing recording in accordance with various kinds of output devices by varying theγ-correction characteristic of a video signal processing part. SOLUTION: A camera part 11 is provided with aγ-correcting circuit 11a in order to correct theγ-characteristic of a matrix circuit 3 in a video signal processing part. Plural kinds of correction data is stored in aγ-characteristic correcting table 13. Aγ-characteristic selecting operation part 14 is provided with a function for inputting information of the kind (corresponding to the kind of the correcting table) of a previously assumed output device or executing an operation such as the change of the correcting table, etc., in accordance with the kind of the output device. Thus, theγ-correction characteristic of the video signal processing part is varied so that recording with image quality corresponding to output usage is enabled.
