FIELD: timber and wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: friction safety device for rubber pulling wheel 1 of logger has slip limiters 2 placed over wheel circumference, circular supports 7 providing radial support at both sides of pulling wheel and fastening chains 5 connecting limiters 2 with circular supports 7. Limiters 2 are made in form of separate plates covering, mainly, entire surface of wheel and provided with gripping tenons 3 on outer surface. Auxiliary slip limiters 8 are secured on inner surfaces of plates to precludes slipping of limiters 2 over periphery of rubber wheel 1. EFFECT: reduced slipping and wear of rubber pulling wheels. 6 cl, 5 dwg
