PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set clear in the sound of a speaker and excellent in the acoustic characteristics of the speaker even when its attachment to a case of a speaker cover component is fluctuated. SOLUTION: The speaker cover component 47 attached to a front case 42 is provided with a thin plate part 47a and an annular rib 47b1 protruded to the lower surface of the thin plate part 47a. On the inner side of the annular rib 47b1, a top plate part 47a1 provided with a hole 47e is provided. For the front case 42 and the speaker 44 of a telephone set main body assembly 41, the annular rib 47b1 is pressed to an annular cushion member 51 fixed on the frame 44a of the speaker 44. The space 52 of the upper surface of the speaker 44 is formed only by the speaker cover component 47 without utilizing a part of the front case 42.
