PURPOSE: A clock generator for synchronizing an optical signal dispatching is provided to synchronize the optical source drive of an optical scanning unit per pixel. CONSTITUTION: A clock generator comprises: a memory(11) storing time data; a memory controlling unit(12) controlling the time data output from the memory; an one shot pulse generator(14) generating an one shot pulse per identified time with the time data outputted from the memory; a time span operating unit(15) operating a time span; a frequency selecting unit(16) outputting a clock frequency information; and a variable clock generator(17) outputting the clock signal of the frequency corresponding to the clock frequency information supplied from the frequency selecting unit.
