Clamping system for cover for print cylinder has eccentric shaft operating on sprung halves of clamp and with large opening profile for clamp

The clamping system for stretching a flexible cover onto a print cylinder has a support block (13) on the cylinder (10) and has a two-part clamp between which is fitted an eccentric shaft (16) with a profiled flat. One clamp section (14) has a pivot mounting (23) in the block while the outer section (15) of the clamp has a rocking mounting on the first section. A spring (21) between the halves provides a sprung force to open the clamp when the eccentric shaft is rotated to the open setting. The clamp has a wide open profile to ease fitting of the cover.
