MODIFIED ASPHALT FOR ROAD PAVEMENT, ITS PRODUCTION AND CONTROL OF PHASE SEPARATION IN MODIFIED ASPHALT FOR ROAD PAVEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modified asphalt capable of controlling the phase separation between asphalt and an asphalt improver in a modified asphalt having a high blending ratio of an asphalt modifier by making the subject asphalt include asphalt, the asphalt modifier, a compatibilizer, or the like. SOLUTION: This asphalt comprises (A) asphalt, (B) 6-8 wt.% of an asphalt modifier (based on the total amount of the objective asphalt), (C) 1-10 wt.% of a compatibilizer for dispersing the component A and the component B and (D) 0-5 wt.% of a phase separation inhibitor which controls the phase separation of the component A and the component B in a mixture of the component A and the component B and is mixed in a state to uniformly disperse the component B into the component A by the component C. A petroleum-based oil showing a fixed phase separation controlling tendency is used as the component C and a surfactant having 1-15.5 hydrophilic-lipophilic balance(HLB) is used as the component D.
