PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form the magnetic field generating means of a fixing device by forming a conductive wire rod coated with fluororesin like a coil so that generated magnetic field may act on a heating means so as to generate an eddy current, thereby making the heating means generate heat. SOLUTION: The conductive wire rod coated with the fluororesin is formed like the coil so that the generated magnetic field may act on the heating means so as to generate the eddy current, whereby the heating means generates the heat. In such a case, a pressure roller 3 is rotatably supported and press-contacts with a conductor roller 1, and is rotated counterclockwise by following the rotation of the roller 1. The magnetic field generating means 2 by heating, which generates alternating magnetic field by applying a high frequency current to an exciting coil by an exciting circuit (inverter circuit) and generates the eddy current in the roller 1 so as to prevent the change of magnetic flux, is installed inside the roller 1. Then, Joule heat is generated by the eddy current caused by the change of the magnetic flux and the resistance of a conductor, and the roller 1 is heated.
