PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output voltage waveform that less increases the temperature caused by a field current, has superior power efficiency, and is close to a sinusoidal wave by providing field coil winding at a field pole head part in addition to the field coil winding being wound around a magnetic pole drum. SOLUTION: Field coil winding 2 is provided at a magnetic pole head 8 in addition to field coil winding 4, the field coil winding 2 at the left side of a magnetic pole allows current to flow in the same direction as the field coil winding 4 at the same left side, and the field coil winding 2 at the right side of the magnetic pole energizes a field current in the same direction as the field coil winding 4 at the same right side, thus setting the entire section area of the field coil winding larger than a conventional one by the amount of the field coil winding 2, and hence reducing increase in the temperature of a rotor caused by the field coil winding. Then, the field coil winding 2 is provided, thus newly generating magnetomotive force between the left and right coil winding 2, and hence allowing the distribution of the magnetomotive force and an output voltage waveform to be substantially approximate to a sinusoidal waveform shape. Also, a space harmonic constituent being included in the distribution of the magnetomotive force can be reduced, thus reducing the loss of a stator, and hence improving power efficiency.
