PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder fixing device capable of coping with fixation of many kinds of metallic ladders for use on a metallic roof having a seam structure part of an eaves part. SOLUTION: This ladder fixing device (a) is constituted in such a way that a horizontal opening part capable of widening and narrowing freely is arranged between a friction body on a lower face of a horizontal part 2 of a reverse L-shaped holding body 1 and a top face (a top face of the friction body 9 when the friction body 9 is externally fitted) of an eccentric roll 8 provided horizontally on an inner face of a vertical part 4 on a lower face side so as to turn freely, a lever 12 is attached to a rotary shaft of the eccentric roll 8 on an outer face of the vertical part 4, attaching plates 16 are arranged in a cross manner in the vertical direction on an upper face of the horizontal part 2 of the holding body 1, at least the attaching plate 16 on one side moves freely to the right and left, both of the attaching plates are joined on the upper face by a handle shaft 18, an insertion groove 22 having such a width that allows the insertion of upper and lower faces (horizontal part) of a longitudinal style of a ladder from an outer face side of the vertical part 4 and a clearance groove 23 which is set to communicate with the insertion groove 22 and has a larger width than the insertion groove 22 and a predetermined depth is opened in the tip of each attaching plate 16, respectively, a fixation release string 15 is attached to a lower end of the lever 12, and a drop prevention string 24 is attached to the attaching plate 16 on one side.
