APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR HANDLING READILY POLYMERIZABLE COMPOUND

PURPOSE: To provide the subject apparatus capable of effectively preventing polymerization of readily polymerizable compound and producing the readily polymerizable compound in a high yield due to effective prevention of retention of condensate by installing a specific tubular member with a specific inclination. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus is equipped with a tubular member which is installed on the sidewall of the apparatus, is opened to the inside of the apparatus and is laid in a downward inclination α to the inside of the apparatus. The inclination α is preferably 3-70°, especially 5-60°. The part of the tubular member outside the apparatus is preferably as short as possible. The part of the tubular body outside the apparatus is preferably provided with a warming or heating means and an inlet for a molecular oxygen-containing gas and/or a polymerization inhibitor. In the circumference of a part in which the part of the tubular member in the apparatus is brought into contact with the inner wall of the apparatus, the whole periphery of the circumference is welded and the surface of the circumference is smoothed.
