PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish bite-sensing device capable of sensing the fish bite even not keeping eyes thereto, during a film when eating a food, putting a fresh bite for other rods or having a chat with fishing fellows by lighting an LED at the tip of the rod for easy sensing of the fish bite, since it is impossible to keep on watching the tip of the rod. SOLUTION: This fish bite-sensing device is provided by installing a weight 3 attached to a flexible metallic plate 1 in its upper direction and a flexible metallic plate 2 in its lower direction, which make a contact instantaneously due to the fish bite. This contact point is constituted with a battery, piezoelectric buzzer, LED 8, switch and other parts, and when its input side short-circuits instantaneously, it is used as the input for a device generating a sound and light for a set period of time. The contact point and LED 8 attached to an insulating stage 4, and the battery, piezoelectric buzzer, switch and other parts housed in a case 5 are connected by an electric wire 6. When the fishing is performed at night, by turning on the switch connected with the LED 8, the LED 8 is lighted without any relation to the swing of the rod for easy sensing of the swing of the tip of the rod. A protective cover 7 for the contact point capable of easily attaching and detaching to the insulating stage 4 is provided.
