PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily eliminate unevenness of a substrate if the unevenness exists, in a method for installing a new wallboard on a wall surface. SOLUTION: There is provided a fixture for installing an unevenness adjusting wallboard, which is comprised of a block-like substrate 1 and a wallboard fixture 5. The substrate 1 has a wedge-shaped cross section and has its front surface tilted with respect to a wall basic surface 2 when fixed to the wall basic surface 2. The wallboard fixture 5 has support leg portions 5b, 5b erected on both sides of a bottom plate 5a so as to support a rear surface of the wallboard 6, and the contour of each support leg portion 5b includes an upper side 5c which is tilted at a tilt angleθequal to the tilt angle of a front surface of the block-like substrate 1 in an inverted direction. When combined with the block-like substrate 1, an upper edge of the support leg portion 5b becomes parallel with the wall basic surface 2. Further, the wallboard 6 includes lug pieces 5d,...5d engaging with a joint stepped surface 6a of an end face of the wallboard 6, which lug pieces are molded so as to be erected from the bottom plate 5a. The wallboard fixture 5 can be fixed at an arbitrary location in a tilted direction along the tilt surface of the block-like substrate 1.
