PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission diversity device that can select an optimum transmission antenna for enhancing the quality of a transmission signal under a radio wave propagation environment, where an interference exists. SOLUTION: Reception means 105-108 of a wireless section 11 and reception means 110-113 of a wireless section 12 receive signals received by antennas 101-104 for concurrent transmission and reception purposes and convert them into base band signals 115-118 and 119-122 respectively. Applying a cross- correlation arithmetic operation between the base band signals 115-118, and a known signal 123 by correlation means 125-128 extracts only a desired signal component from the received signals resulting from adding interference signals to the desired signals. A selection means 133 receives correlation values 139-142 and 143-146 between each received signal and the known signal and selects an antenna providing the maximum correlation value as an antenna used at transmission. A changeover means 134 decides connection of SWs 135-148, to provide the transmission signal to the selected transmission antenna, on the basis of the selection result by the selection means 133.
