PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a folding container quite high when the same is assembled in a box shape and compact when it is folded. SOLUTION: In forming this folding container, a pair of first side panels 2 mounted rotatively on a pair of facing sides of a rectangular bottom panel 1 and a pair of second side panels 3 mounted rotatively on the other pair of facing sides are folded in a condition where the side panel 3 are folded on the first side panels 2 folded, and after the side panels 2 are raised, the side panels 3 are raised for forming a box shape. It is so set that either or both pairs of the side panels 2 and the side panels 3 superimpose in a folded condition. The height of the rotating pivot position of the side panels forming a pair and superimposing is the same, and the superimposed part 15 of each side panel forming a pair and superimposing in a folded condition is made thinner than the part where the side panels are not superimposing.
