PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a classifying feeder apparatus for rocks capable of classifying a large quantity of rocks including small to large size within a shot time, transporting them to the next step and at the same time keeping the quality of rocks in the case of making the rocks as products by shaking off mud adhering to the rocks. SOLUTION: The classifying feeder apparatus comprises axially rotating units 12a, 12b,... and each axially rotating unit is equipped with a shaft 22 installed from the rock-throwing side toward the discharge side in a freely rotatable manner, a spirally projected strip 24 fixed in the shaft while spirally surrounding the shaft and a convexoconcave tooth unit 26 formed in the outer circumference of the spirally projected strip 24. Respective spirally projected strips 24 of adjacent axially rotating units are not intermeshed and the respective shafts 22 are kept from the adjacent shafts 22 at prescribed classifying gaps F to compose the classifying feeder apparatus 10 for rocks. Small size rocks are dropped through classifying gaps formed between the adjacent shafts, and large ones are transported by the convexoconcave tooth units of the respective spirally projected strips to classify and transport rocks at a high efficiency in a wide surface area.
