PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holder that allows easy downsizing of a motor. SOLUTION: A brush 33 is housed in a brush box 21 formed on a holder substrate 20 of the brush holder 13 movably towards the side of a commutator 15. The pigtail 34 is connected to the side of an armature 19 in the axial direction of a motor shaft 18 of the brush 33, and the tip of the pigtail 34 is connected to the tip of a terminal that is uprightly mounted on the holder substrate 20 towards the side of the armature 19. A torsion spring 38 is secured to a pin 29 uprightly mounted on the holder substrate 20 so that the axial line of a coil part 39 is in the axial-line direction of the motor shaft 18. The opposite side of the commutator 15 of the brush 33 is pressed and pushed by an arm 41 of the torsion spring 38, and then the brush 33 is slide-contacted to the commutator 15 to feed power.
