PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage tray wherein it is not necessary to prepare a different tray for each kind of objects to be received or each manufacturing process, but a small number of kinds of trays can serve in almost all cases. SOLUTION: Stacking engaging portions 3, 4, 5 and 6 comprising a protrusion to be fitted into a recess of a tray which is located on an upper surface when a plurality of trays are vertically stacked are provided at positions which are not point-symmetrical with respect to a center point 10 of the storage tray 1 along a periphery of the tray 1. A vertical distance between the trays when overlaid in a positional relation that the stacking engaging portions do not fit with each other with one of upper and lower trays rotated horizontally by 180 degrees is made to be larger than in a case where the trays are overlaid in a positional relation that the recess and the protrusion of the stacking engaging portions are vertically fitted.
