PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet a demand for further reducing the size of an incision hole and the size of an instrument led in from the incision hole in a surgery minimizing intrusion. SOLUTION: This device for introspectively applying a surgical clip to body tissue is provided with (a) a handle part 12 provided with a fixed handle 16 and a moving handle 14; (b) a body part 20; (c) a plurality of surgical clips arranged in the body part 20; (d) a jaw assembly 18 provided with approaching/ separating jaw parts 24a, 24b; (e) a jaw control mechanism for specifically driving the jaw parts 24a, 24b according to the drive of the moving handle 14; and (f) a clip advancing means for advancing the clips to the tip side when driving the moving handle 14.
