PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining specimen size and facilitating preparation through a single microscope. SOLUTION: A bypass light path along which light does not pass through a lens and can pass is provided in the vicinity of the lens to determine the size. In addition, an air bubble incorporated in the lens serves as a reference mark. A treated material is previously applied on a specimen holding instrument.
