PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle position detecting device, and a recording medium capable surely detecting a magnetic pole of a magnet type marker placed on a road for determining a correct vehicle position. SOLUTION: Magnetic poles of lane markers 1 are read in the order in a step 100. In a step 110, a continuous five-digit chip line is recognized from magnetic pole information of the five lane markers 1. In a step 120, a database is referred to read a position Xi-1 of a first four-digit chip line and a position Xi of the next four-digit chip line from the five-digit chip line. In a step 130, a moving distance dx is calculated based on the positions Xi-1 and Xi. In a step 140, if the moving distance dx matches with a placement interval L of the lane markers 1 is decided. In a step 150, it is decided that magnetic signal of a lane marker sensor 3 is correct, since they match with each other. In a step 160, it is considered that the magnetic signal of the lane marker sensor 3 is incorrect, because they do not match. |
