MEASURING METHOD FOR THICKNESS OF SCALE ON INNER SURFACE OF TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method in which the thickness of a scale stuck to the inner surface of a tube to be measured is measured with satisfactory accuracy by an ultrasonic testing system by taking into consideration the shape and the property of the scale. SOLUTION: A waveform type in an echo detected as a reflected echo on a scale face 5 from among received echoes by an ultrasonic probe 6 is selected from a plurality of preset waveform types so as to be decided, and the thickness of the scale 3 is measured on the basis of the relative time difference in a waveform position to be set according to the waveform type of the echo between the reflected echo in the echo and a reference echo at a time when the scale 3 is not stuck.
