PURPOSE: A method for preparing a secondary battery is provided, to improve the reliance of gas exhaustion and to simplify the process by emitting the degassing process using a gas room. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of introducing a separator between a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate and winding them to prepare jelly roll-type electrode assembly(20); carrying out the initial charging of the electrode assembly to exhausting the gas generated during charging; sealing the charged electrode assembly with a case; and completely charging the sealed electrode assembly. Optionally the electrode assembly is hot compressed to improve the adhesive strength between the negative electrode and the positive electrode after the first and/or third steps. Preferably the content of the initial charging is less than 30 % of capacity. |
